If you have never experienced an online course before, you are probably wondering how it differs from a face-to-face class and how those differences might affect your academic success. That’s a valid concern. Taking on online class is a little different than a face-to-face class. What is DEE?

The Division of Distance and Extended Education (DEE) helps design and create web-based classes for the Blackboard BbLearn course management system, and offers training and workshops for faculty looking to expand their use of online teaching resources. We are also responsible for Summer Session and Dual Credit. Our unit is committed to offering quality, innovative, and student-centered courses and programs in which students and instructors participate in highly interactive and engaging learning activities that leverage Web-based technologies to achieve program and university learning objectives.
